Ayurvedic Practitioner & Yoga Instructor
I am grateful to have grown up feeling like a citizen of the world. I was born in Washington, D.C. and lived in four countries (United States, Argentina, Viet Nam and Paraguay) by the time I was ten years old. The early experience of traveling and living abroad with my family gave me a deep appreciation of many cultures and a deep knowledge of the love that binds us all. It also gave me the gift of resilience and the ability to understand the changing nature of our lives.
Always interested in health and healing, I was inspired to be a nurse at an early age when my grandfather, seriously ill in the hospital, took notice of how I naturally cared for him and told me that I would be a good nurse. I have practiced nursing in various settings for 40 years. My career has included experience as a pediatric nurse in oncology and the community hospital setting, a visiting nurse serving pediatric and adult populations, a school nurse PreK to 12th grade, a long term care nurse on an Alzheimer’s unit and a hospice nurse. I became an Ayurvedic Practitioner in 2013 and a Yoga Instructor in 2011.
