Ayurvedic Practitioner & Yoga Instructor

Yours Truly, RN

I am grateful to have grown up feeling like a citizen of the world. I was born in Washington, D.C. and lived in four countries (United States, Argentina, Viet Nam and Paraguay) by the time I was ten years old. The early experience of traveling and living abroad with my family gave me a deep appreciation of many cultures and a deep knowledge of the love that binds us all. It also gave me the gift of resilience and the ability to understand the changing nature of our lives.

Always interested in health and healing, I was inspired to be a nurse at an early age when my grandfather, seriously ill in the hospital, took notice of how I naturally cared for him and told me that I would be a good nurse. I have practiced nursing in various settings for 40 years. My career has included experience as a pediatric nurse in oncology and the community hospital setting, a visiting nurse serving pediatric and adult populations, a school nurse PreK to 12th grade, a long term care nurse on an Alzheimer’s unit and a hospice nurse. I became an Ayurvedic Practitioner in 2013 and a Yoga Instructor in 2011.

I live and breathe Ayurveda and practice Yoga everyday! It is a part of my being. It can be part of you as well!

  • Practice Self-Care the Natural Way

  • Be Empowered to Change

  • Express Your Natural Beauty

  • Be Healthy & Vital

My health and vitality is a direct result of practicing Yoga & Ayurveda in my daily life.

What excites me most is empowering people to believe in and care for themselves! I can do this, because I have a lot of experience in both self-care and caring for others. I hope you will invite me to work with and help you experience your most healthy and radiant self.

As we are all unique and have our own natural way of being, how we take care of ourselves is a very individual matter. During your consultation, we'll look at diet and lifestyle choices and determine the most optimal way of supporting, nurturing and healing you.

I love to share what I know with others in workshops that nourish body, mind, heart and soul! Ask me about these popular topics:

  • Simply Ayurveda
  • Time for You
  • Yogic Breath and Meditation for Relaxation
  • Everyday Cooking

Come home to you! Yoga is a powerful practice! But, practice is the "operative" word. It calms the nervous system allowing us to rest and pause. It nurtures and develops the physical body. At the same time it opens our minds and hearts. We come to know our subtle body and get in touch with our souls. We develop awareness of ourselves in relationship to all others.
